EcoFlow, a provider of eco-friendly power solutions, has launched its latest whole-home backup power system, the DELTA Pro Ultra X.
The key feature of this storage product is that it offers a power output range from 12 kW to 36 kW, representing a 60% increase over its predecessor. In addition, its storage capacity ranges from 12 kWh to 180 kWh, providing a backup duration of 1 to 15 hours at a nominal rated discharge rate. It incorporates power electronic devices, which the company categorizes as ‘advanced’, and has low impedance. This attribute leads to achieving an energy conversion efficiency of up to 97%, enabling home applications such as EV chargers, water heaters, and induction cooktops without additional soft starters.
This system’s modular design supports the installation of DELTA Pro Ultra X within 7 working days of scheduling, which the company claims is faster than its standard counterpart.
In addition, when the storage product is paired with EcoFlow’s Smart Home Panel 3, users can remotely monitor and control individual circuits, prioritize loads that are critical and isolate non-essential ones via the EcoFlow App, an energy management software. The company claims that this feature extends the duration of backup by up to 42% compared to the standard grid-connected configuration. This ‘smart’ panel consists of 32 circuits with a total rated capacity of 200 A. On top, it features a programmable timer function for individual household applications for a controlled and efficient usage of stored energy.
According to the company, its DELTA Pro Ultra X storage system, when paired with the ‘smart’ panel, reduces users’ electricity expenses by up to $6,000 by activating AI-powered Time-of-Use mode.
This mode automatically adjusts the charging and discharging of the battery stack during off-peak and peak rate hours, respectively, based on real-time energy pricing. The commercialization details of this storage product are not available at the time of publishing.
