Key Takeaways
  • EP Cube showcased its CEC-listed 3-phase energy storage system at All Energy Australia 2026

  • The 3-phase system delivers 12 kW AC output and supports storage expansion up to 200 kWh

  • The company also presented its next-generation single-phase 2.0 system with 10 kW AC output and up to 80 kWh storage

EP Cube, a residential energy storage brand under Canadian Solar, showcased its energy storage solutions at All Energy Australia 2026 in Melbourne. The portfolio included a recently Clean Energy Council (CEC)-listed 3-phase system, alongside existing and next-generation single-phase solutions.

The 3-phase system targets larger homes and light commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. It has a continuous AC output of 12 kW and can accommodate up to 24 kWp of solar PV capacity through four MPPTs. Battery storage ranges from 10 to 40 kWh per unit. For installations that require higher capacity, up to 5 units can be connected in parallel, taking the total to 200 kWh.

The system also supports backup power when paired with an optional Smart Gateway. During a grid outage, the gateway automatically switches to backup operation in less than 20 ms, according to EP Cube. The stacked battery modules have an IP67 protection rating against dust and temporary water immersion, making them suitable for outdoor installation.

EP Cube also presented its existing single-phase 1.0 system, which delivers 7.6 kW AC output and supports up to 10 kWp of PV input. It offers 10 to 30 kWh of modular battery storage and comes with built-in backup functionality.

The company also showcased its next-generation single-phase 2.0 system, which supports higher household power demand, including electric vehicle charging and heat pumps. It offers 10 kW AC output and can handle up to 15 kW of PV input through four independent MPPTs. Connecting two units in parallel increases the total storage capacity to 80 kWh.

In addition to the storage systems, EP Cube showcased an upcoming 7-inch wall-mounted human-machine interface (HMI) display. The display features local data storage and an integrated AI chatbot assistant and is expected to become available in Australia in Q1 2027. The company also highlighted its EP Cube App, which supports household energy monitoring, system commissioning, and remote diagnostics.
