GoodWe, the Chinese PV inverter and storage solutions provider, showcased a broad portfolio of application-specific products at Intersolar Europe 2025, with a primary focus on the European residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) markets. Highlights at the company’s booth included balcony PV solutions, 1-phase and 3-phase hybrid inverters, and its flagship all-in-one single-phase residential hybrid inverter system.

During a one-on-one conversation with the TaiyangNews team, Jonas Ding, Technical Product Director at GoodWe Europe, introduced the company’s latest ESA residential system (3–10 kW / 5–48 kWh), featuring an integrated all-in-one architecture.

Performance

This single-phase hybrid inverter offers output capacities ranging from 3 kW to 10 kW, providing flexible storage options tailored to meet household energy demands. The system supports battery modules of 5 kWh or 8 kWh, scalable up to 48 kWh by connecting 6 units in parallel. In the event of a grid failure or power outage, the system activates its backup mode in less than 4 milliseconds and can deliver up to 63A of backup load. Additionally, for 1C-rated charging/discharging at 20°C, the system is equipped with integrated battery heating technology.

User-Friendly Design

To enhance usability, the ESA system can interface with multiple domestic appliances, including heat pumps and GoodWe’s HCA G2 AC EV chargers (available in 7 kW, 11 kW, and 22 kW versions). It is also integrated with EzManager3000, GoodWe’s AI-powered energy management system (EMS), which unifies the full ecosystem, enabling dynamic load detection and smart control for optimal energy usage.

Safety Features

Recognizing the safety requirements of residential installations, Ding emphasized that the system operates at low noise levels (below 35 dB) and incorporates a six-layer protection architecture. The AI-driven Arc Fault Circuit Interruption (AFCI 3.0) feature further enhances fire prevention by detecting and mitigating DC-side arc faults. The system is housed in an IP66-rated enclosure, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.
