Haier Energy showcased E-Tower, a stackable residential BESS, at Intersolar Europe 2026
The system combines 8 kWh battery modules with a hybrid inverter with a capacity ranging from 8 kW to 20 kW
According to the company, the system integrates with Haier's smart home ecosystem and supports backup power applications
Haier Energy, the renewable energy business of Chinese home appliance manufacturer Haier Group, showcased its E-Tower Ultra, a stackable residential BESS that combines battery storage, hybrid inverter technology, and smart home connectivity at Intersolar Europe 2026. Speaking to TaiyangNews, Kaustubh Dhamale, European After Sales Engineer at Haier Energy, said the BESS is built around 8 kWh stackable battery modules, with each module incorporating its own battery management system (BMS). The system is paired with a hybrid inverter available in power ratings from 8 kW to 20 kW. According to Dhamale, the 20 kW hybrid inverter supports up to 40 kWp of PV input and features 4 MPPTs.
Highlighting ease of deployment, Dhamale said the system requires less than 10 minutes for installation. He added that users can connect up to 6 battery modules in a single tower configuration, while recommending 4 battery modules for a typical installation. According to Dhamale, up to 10 systems can also be connected in parallel to increase the overall storage capacity.
For backup applications, Haier Energy also showcased its backup box, which supports the integration of external inverters, heat pumps, and diesel generators. Dhamale said these connected devices can be monitored and controlled through the Haier Energy app.
Another feature he highlighted was integration with Haier's Home Ecosystem. Dhamale said customers using Haier smart appliances can connect the inverter to the ecosystem, allowing the appliances to work together to provide an improved user experience.
