- Huasun says its G12-132 Himalaya HJT modules have a certified power output of 715W
- It cleared full sequence test of TÜV SÜD Group to obtain the standard certification IEC 61215 on PV module performance
- The company has also expanded the product warranty of 6 of its Himalaya modules to 30 years in select markets
Chinese solar module manufacturer Huasun has reported its Himalaya G12-132 heterojunction (HJT) solar modules to have achieved a certified power output of 715 W from Germany’s TÜV SÜD Group which it claims sets a ‘new high’ when compared to PV modules of the same dimension in the industry.
These modules cleared TUV’s full sequence test to obtain the standard certification IEC 61215 on PV module performance.
Huasun claims annual power generation of these modules is at least 6% higher than the other large sized modules and during the 30-year service life, its power output will exceed 88%. The series has double glass structure, better water resistance and anti-PID performance, stated the company.
The Chinese company has been producing the Himalaya G12-132 modules since mid-2022 to cater to ground mounted solar power plants. In 2023, it targets to expand its planned production capacity to over 10 GW to ensure a more stable and long-term supply of HJT modules to the market.
Recently, these modules were used in a 50 MW solar project in Weifang city of Shandong province which Huasun says is currently the largest HJT solar power plant in China (see China PV News Snippets).
Huasun has also announced upgrading the product warranty of 6 types of its Himalaya HJT modules to 30 years, as against 15 years product and 25 years power warranty offered currently in the Chinese PV market. In comparison, it offers 30 years linear performance warranty for HJT modules.
Now it is offering 30-year product warranty for its HS-B120DSB, HS-B120DSN, HS-S120DSB, HS-182-B108DSB, HS-182-B108DSN, HS-182-S108DSB products for Europe, Australia, Japan and Korea markets. In the future, it plans to cover more countries and regions with 30-year warranty.
It stated,“So far, Huasun has become one of the RARE PV module manufacturers in China that can provide a 30-year product warranty and performance warranty, and is also the FIRST HJT company who can provide such a long-term warranty in both terms.”
In the November TaiyangNews Top Modules list, Huasun’s 700 W HJT module was the only commercial module at such a high power level and was ranked fourth in terms of efficiency (see Top Solar Modules Listing – November 2022).
