Key Takeaways
  • HYXiPOWER promoted its single-phase ‘All-in-One' ESS, targeting Europe’s DG consumers who have zero power export compliance

  • According to the company, this ESS is built with automotive-grade battery cells

  • It also showcased an air-cooled ESS with 215 kWh storage capacity, promoted for C&I applications

HYXiPOWER, an up-and-coming name in the energy storage system (ESS) and inverter segment, showcased its latest product portfolio at Intersolar Europe 2025, targeting the European market.

Its ‘All-in-One' stackable ESS on display, developed for single-phase distributed generation (DG) consumers with zero power export compliance, was one of the highlights of the company’s exhibits. According to this compliance, regional distribution companies restrict any surplus PV energy from rooftop installations into the grid. The showcased HYX-HXKX-HSPAC model, where the ‘XKX’ indicates nominal AC output, is equipped with a hybrid inverter and stackable battery modules. Each module, consisting of reportedly A+ grade lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) based battery cells, has up to 5.3 kWh of storage capacity. The company did not disclose either the sorting or quality criterion of its A+ grade cells; however, it states that these are built to automotive-grade standards. Housed in an IP67-rated enclosure, it supports vertically stacked battery modules ranging from 2 to 5 with storage capacities between 10.6 kWh and 25 kWh, in line with consumer demand. The corresponding AC output range of the integrated hybrid inverter is between 5.7 kW and 15 kW. Switching to backup mode during grid failure or fault, it offers maximum continuous output power in the range of 5.7 kW and 15 kW. According to the company, this inverter is designed for 160% DC/AC oversizing. It highlights that one of the standout features of this ESS is its system-level anti-backflow protection, which eliminates the need for a current transformer or external devices.

The company’s HYX-EF215P2 series ESS model, also showcased at the show, is developed to cater to Europe’s 3-phase C&I customers. Unlike its predecessor’s automotive grade battery cells, this model is equipped with standard battery cells. Although the configuration of each battery module was not disclosed, it features a system configuration of 1P280S with a corresponding storage capacity of up to 215 kWh. It can absorb or discharge up to 280 A DC at a 0.5 P rate, for a maximum of 6,000 cycles to support uninterrupted operation of up to 100 kW 3-phase C&I connected load. This system also features an integrated power conditioning system (PCS). A maximum of 8 units can be connected in parallel for a maximum storage capacity of 1.72 MWh.

On the safety front, both ESS models on display offer fire safety features. While the C&I scale model features an aerosol-based system-level fire suppression system, the ‘All-in-One' product features smoke detection and active pressure relief-based safety functions at the battery pack level.
