Inverter And Storage Solutions From Sungrow

Leading Chinese inverter supplier Sungrow presented its latest inverter products, utility-scale storage solutiosn and all-in-one residential solar storage EV changing solutions at Intersolar

The 1+X Modular Inverter, which made its premiere at the show, is likely to pave the way for the next dimension of inverters for utility-scale solar systems. It has a minimum single unit capacity of 1.1 MW and a maximum capacity of 8.8 MW when eight units are combined. Customers can pick from 1.1 MW to 8.8 MW to fit their needs.

The solution features modularization at the inverter, system, and component levels. The use of three levels of modularization makes the power plant architecture more adaptable and future O&M easier. Sungrow's  powerful string inverter, SG350HX,  is tailored to utility scale plants.

The PowerTitan, a utility-scale liquid-cooled energy storage system from Sungrow, was also on display. The system has been named a finalist for the ees AWARD 2022 in the Electrical Energy Storage category, showing high level of innovation in the energy storage segment. Through the use of liquid cooled technology, the PowerTitan delivers better levels of efficiency and performance. The temperature difference between individual cells is kept below 3 °C, extending life by 10%. The new cluster controller can charge and discharge individual battery racks, improving total system performance by 6%. The automated state of charge (SoC) calibration and coolant refills significantly lower operating and maintenance costs. Notably, since its October debut, Sungrow has received over 1 gigawatt-hour of orders for the liquid-cooled ESS PowerTitan, according to the company. In an effort to enhance commercial and residential adoption, sungrow promotes an all-in-one Residential EV charging solution, composed of  a residential solarstorage- EV charging solution that connects solar, storage, and an EV charger. The solution is said to be lucrative for homeowners in the face of utility disruptions such as power outages.

Sungrow's EV Charger Business was represented by their innovative charging solution, AC011E-01. Sungrow's existing three-phase hybrid inverter and battery solutions have been enhanced with the addition of this EV Charger. The battery is designed in a modular fashion, with 3-8 modules per battery. For greatest flexibility, customers can increase capacity from 9.6 kWh to 25.6 kWh.

A new meter with two CTs to retrofit older plants was also introduced, as was a new power class of the Commercial Extreme Series the SG125CX, which is compatible with the most recent high-power modules available on the market.
