JA introduced its HyperGen Pro BC modules at All Energy Australia 2026, offering up to 510 W output and 25.5% efficiency
The new modules feature a lightweight single-glass design, HW4 hail resistance, and a power temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C
The company also showcased its DeepBlue 5.0 TOPCon modules and a 125 kW / 261 kWh C&I battery storage system
Solar module manufacturer JA introduced its HyperGen Pro back-contact (BC) modules at All Energy Australia 2026. The new series targets rooftop installations, focusing on module weight, hail resistance, and performance in high temperatures.
The HyperGen Pro series includes a white variant with up to 510 W power output and 25.5% efficiency, and an all-black variant offering up to 505 W and 25.3% efficiency. Both modules measure 1,762 mm in length and use back-contact cells, with all electrical contacts positioned on the rear instead of the front. They also incorporate zero-busbar (0BB) interconnection technology, which reduces shading from metal contacts on the cell surface.
The module series uses a single-glass design, which reduces module weight by 12% to 14% compared to comparable dual-glass products. For hail resistance, JA reports an HW4 rating and certification against hailstones up to 40 mm in diameter. The glass also has an anti-glare treatment to reduce reflections. To address partial shading, the cell design helps limit power losses and hot spots. The modules have a power temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C.
Alongside HyperGen Pro, JA showcased its DeepBlue 5.0 TOPCon module portfolio. The residential JAM48D51 LR all-black module delivers 485 W and uses Tri-Cut cells with the company's Bycium+ 5.0 technology and 20-busbar (20BB) interconnection. The portfolio also includes the 550 W JAM54D50 GR and 670 W JAM66D50 GB models for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale applications. The 670 W module offers 85%±5% bifaciality and a power temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C.
JA also introduced its 125 kW / 261 kWh liquid-cooled commercial and industrial (C&I) battery energy storage system (BESS) to the Australian market. The BESS uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and offers up to 88% round-trip efficiency. Safety features include insulation monitoring, battery pack monitoring, and a 3-tier fire and explosion protection system. JA says the system's predictive maintenance functions can reduce downtime by up to 90% and enable remote resolution of more than 90% of faults.
