Key Takeaways
  • Jackery has partnered with Pebble to develop a portable solar package, marking its first entry into the automotive sector

  • The Self-Powered Package adds 2 kW of solar input, bringing combined input to up to 4 kW alongside the trailer’s integrated solar

  • The package costs $4,000, with hardware shipments expected to begin in December 2026

Portable power and energy storage supplier Jackery says it has entered the automotive sector through a partnership with Pebble, the California-based manufacturer of the all-electric Pebble Flow travel trailer. Jackery has developed a 2 kW portable solar package for the 2027 model to support longer off-grid stays.

Called the Self-Powered Package, the kit contains four custom-built 500 W panels, four matching 3 m extension cables, and a 4-in-1 solar connector. Deployed when the trailer is parked, the panels connect directly to its onboard energy system, which includes a 45 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery.

The package adds up to 4 kW of combined solar input when used alongside the trailer’s integrated solar. Pebble Flow also supports up to 12 kW of power export to a home, another recreational vehicle (RV) or an electric tow vehicle.

The companies say the combined solar setup can generate more electricity than the trailer uses on a typical day, including air conditioning, but provide no supporting energy figures. The trailer runs without propane or fuel-powered generators, while the portable panels add a charging option away from campground power connections.

“We didn't want to just put two logos on a product,” said Pebble founder and CEO Bingrui Yang. He emphasized that Jackery’s panels connect directly to Pebble Flow’s own energy system.

The partnership extends Jackery’s business from portable power stations and residential backup systems into energy supply for travel trailers.

Orders for the 2027 Pebble Flow, including the Self-Powered Package, opened on October 5, 2026. The package costs $4,000 as an upgrade on the Founders Edition. Integrated solar is priced at $5,000, bringing the combined upgrade cost to $9,000 for the complete Magic Pack. Shipments of the portable solar hardware are expected to begin in December 2026.
