JA showcased its latest TOPCon 2.0 modules for residential, C&I, and utility-scale applications
The modules feature a 3-cut cell architecture that the company says improves reliability while supporting higher efficiencies
JA also presented the Hybrid all-in-one C&I BESS with125 kW output power and 261 kWh storage capacity
JA, a leading solar cell, module, and energy storage manufacturer, exhibited its latest product series DeepBlue 5.0 for utility, residential, and commercial & industrial (C&I) applications at Intersolar Europe 2026. The company also highlighted its JAPlanet All-in-One C&I Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
Speaking with TaiyangNews, Ignacio Espinosa, Head of the European Technical Team at JA, detailed the showcased products at the company’s booth. JA’s module portfolio is based on its TOPCon 2.0 technology, which Espinosa says has significantly increased efficiency. The modules also adopt a 3-cut cell architecture designed to lower the risk of internal defects and improve module reliability.
JA showcased its latest module, JAM54-D50GR, designed for C&I applications. The module delivers up to 550 W of power with a rated efficiency of 24.7%. Built with 162 3-cut cells, the module features a 2 mm dual-glass construction. With the dimensions of 1,961 x 1,134 x 30 mm, it weighs around 27.4 kg. A black-frame version is also available, says Espinosa
For residential applications, JA showcased JAM48 D51/LR. The company highlighted this module’s all-black aesthetic, which integrates better with building architecture. The n-type double-glass monofacial module delivers up to 485 W of power with a maximum module efficiency of 24.3%. Built on the 144-cell format, it features a 1.6 mm dual-glass configuration. The module is smaller, measuring 1,762 × 1,134 × 30 mm and weighing 21.5 kg.
For utility-scale applications, JA showcased the JAM66D50/GB module. The n-type double-glass bifacial module delivers up to 670 W of power with a maximum module efficiency of 24.8%. Built with 198 3-cut cells, the module incorporates a full-screen cell layout and offers 85±5% bifaciality. Compared with the residential and C&I modules, it adopts a larger 2,382 × 1,134 × 30 mm format and weighs 32.8 kg to support higher power output.
Also showcased was the JAPlanet hybrid all-in-one BESS. While the company's standard version is AC-coupled, the latest hybrid model integrates an inverter that accepts direct PV string input. The liquid-cooled system provides 125 kW of output power and 261 kWh of storage capacity. Espinosa added that more than 200 units of this hybrid BESS have already been deployed in the European market.
