From January 2024 to December 2025, the number of listed modules in the 21.7%-22.0% efficiency band remained constant at 2, representing a stable 4% share of the TOP SOLAR MODULES list
Jinergy’s 21.85% HJT module and Meyer Burger’s 21.8% module were the only products listed in this efficiency band throughout the entire 2-year period
This efficiency range remained the least represented category in the TOP SOLAR MODULES list
The TOP SOLAR MODULES list is organized into 4 efficiency bands: above 22.5%, 22.0% -22.5%, 21.7%-22.0%, and 21.5%-21.7%. Following the discussion of the higher efficiency bands, this section focuses on the 21.7%-22.0% efficiency band and reviews its representation over the analysis period.
This efficiency band continues to be the least represented in the TOP SOLAR MODULES list. One reason could be that entry-level efficiencies for PERC are already above this range, while those for advanced technologies tend to move quickly beyond it. As a result, this band serves more as a transitional space, with most advanced products progressing to higher efficiency levels once commercialized.
For the same reason, this band has not changed over the last 2 years. The number of listed products is holding steady at 2, and the share remains unchanged at 4% for the total scope of this report, from January 2024 to December 2025. Jinergy’s 21.85% HJT module and Meyer Burger’s 21.8% module continue to be the lone pair of occupants of this efficiency range, with no new entries, exits, or efficiency improvements recorded.
Complementing this efficiency-based assessment, TaiyangNews also recognizes sustained leadership through its TOP SOLAR MODULES Badge of Excellence, awarded to manufacturers that feature in the top 10 rankings for at least 6 months in a calendar year (see TOP SOLAR MODULES 2025: Badge Of Excellence).
