MOVA LumeGret introduced the A4000 home storage system to the UK market at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026
Four MPPTs accept up to 3.6 kW of PV, while stackable batteries expand capacity from 4.02 kWh to 20 kWh
The standard-socket mode supplies up to 800 W; 2.5 kW grid-tied output requires a qualified electrician and a compliant distribution-panel connection
Chinese electrical appliance maker MOVA Tech introduced its MOVA LumeGret solar brand to the UK residential energy storage market at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026. The company displayed the A4000 home energy storage system (ESS), designed to increase PV self-consumption and manage household energy use.
The company says the all-in-one system integrates a bidirectional hybrid inverter, battery and energy management system (EMS). Four maximum power point trackers (MPPTs) accept up to eight 450 W modules, or 3.6 kW of PV in total. The MPPTs have an aggregate rated input of 2.8 kW, and MOVA claims peak conversion efficiency of up to 99%.
The base unit combines the inverter with a 4.02 kWh battery. Up to four additional packs can be stacked vertically, taking total storage capacity to 20 kWh. MOVA rates the battery for 10,000 cycles while retaining at least 70% of its capacity under the company’s in-house test conditions.
The A4000 accepts DC power directly from connected PV modules. MOVA also says it can work with an existing rooftop PV system through an AC-coupled configuration. In the UK, the system can supply up to 800 W to the home through a standard socket. Its higher 2.5 kW grid-tied output is not plug-and-play: MOVA says it requires a qualified electrician and connection to a compliant distribution panel.
In off-grid mode, the unit can provide up to 2.5 kW of backup output, with MOVA claiming millisecond-level switchover after an outage. The Orbit EMS can prioritize solar generation, charge the battery with surplus PV and draw from the grid when PV and storage cannot meet demand. It can also schedule charging and discharging using dynamic tariffs, weather forecasts, expected PV generation, battery status and household load patterns.
The A4000 can also integrate with MOVA’s portable 3.6 kW E7000 EV charger through its FluxCharge control system. MOVA says this allows charging power to follow surplus PV generation or lower-cost tariff periods. The company also lists integration with its robotic lawn mower as another potential use for surplus solar generation.
