POWEROAD unveiled its latest commercial & industrial storage solution, FLEX 233, at Solar & Storage Live UK 2025

POWEROAD, a provider of lithium-ion battery energy storage systems (BESS), showcased its latest commercial and industrial (C&I) solution – FLEX 233 – at Solar & Storage Live UK 2025.
The key highlights of this latest storage solution are the ‘all-in-one' architecture, liquid-cooling mechanism, and providing ‘efficient, safe, and reliable’ energy.
The design combines a battery bank and a power conversion system (PCS) within a ‘compact’ 1.7 m² enclosure. It has a rated 3-phase power output of 100 kW at full load and a storage capacity of up to 233 kWh, which the company characterizes as ‘high energy density’. In addition, the battery bank fully charges itself in 4.66 hours and provides backup for up to 2.33 hours, at nominal charging and discharging rates of 0.5 P and 1 P, respectively.
The company uses a cooling mechanism based on a circulating liquid medium, or ‘liquid-cooled’. It enables operational stability even at external temperatures as low as -30°C. This ‘intelligent’ mechanism also maintains the uniformity of temperature differences between battery packs under 3°C, which helps extend battery lifecycle in a varying outdoor environment. In addition, the storage solution offers a fire protection feature at the individual pack level and automatically detects liquid leakage.
POWEROAD states that this storage solution supports a range of applications with solar and geothermal power plants. It also offers grid support applications, such as grid regulation, peak shaving, and energy management.
The commercialization details of this latest storage product in the UK were not available at the time of publishing this article.
