Key Takeaways
  • The new RenewSys sheet encapsulant is designed specifically for the busbar and junction box areas to improve electrical insulation and sealing, says the company

  • It is supplied in reel form, supports automated lines, while ensuring more uniform material flow during lamination

  • The product works with glass-glass and glass-backsheet modules, various cell technologies, and is available in widths from 30 mm to 100 mm for flexible module designs, it adds

RenewSys India has introduced what it terms the first-of-its-kind sheet encapsulant called CONSERV AUGMENSHEET, specifically developed for insulation and sealing of busbar and junction box areas in solar modules.

Based on the manufacturer’s proprietary CONSERV encapsulant technology, RenewSys says it significantly reduces bubble formation during lamination while improving electrical insulation. It promotes a uniform flow and superior wet-out characteristics, contributing to enhanced module reliability and long-term performance.

RenewSys Vice Chairman and Managing Director Avinash Hiranandani claims the company is the only manufacturer in India to offer encapsulants in reel form with this launch. It is compatible with all new-generation PV module manufacturing lines, including glass-glass and glass-backsheet configurations.

It also supports a wide range of module architectures and advanced cell technologies, the company adds. RenewSys is offering the CONSERV AUGMENSHEET in flexible width options ranging from 30 mm to 100 mm, so it can be customized for diverse module designs and production requirements.

“Designed for automated production environments, it enables manufacturers to achieve higher productivity, improved quality, and consistent performance in high-efficiency solar modules,” stressed Hiranandani.

RenewSys currently operates 30 GW encapsulant and 4 GW backsheet production capacity, and is installing a 5 GW high-efficiency solar cell line.

TaiyangNews is bringing together the Indian solar PV manufacturing industry for the Solar Technology Conference India 2026 (STC.I 2026). To be held on February 5 and 6 in Aerocity, New Delhi, this 2nd edition of the TaiyangNews physical conference will also have banks, investors, and policymakers in attendance. Register for the event here.
