SANY Group, a well-known name in the global heavy equipment manufacturing space, recently expanded its offerings into the renewable energy (RE) space under SANY Photovoltaic. This strategic shift is based on the company’s 3 goals—localization, low capitalization, and digitalization. The goal of low capitalization has 2 sub-goals—to electrify all its construction equipment and full solutions for RE.

The company promoted the recent expansion of its n-TOPCon module series at the SNEC 2024 event. Speaking to TaiyangNews, the module maker highlighted the latest dual-glass SANY SYMN series models with 2 different cell interconnection methods—busbarless (0BB) and SMBB.

The SANY SYMN 156TBD (0BB) n-TOPCon dual-glass model with 156 pieces of 210R half-cell matrix interconnected in busbarless (0BB) metallization technology boasts a power output of up to 650 W and an efficiency of 23.25%. In 0BB metallization technology, the soldering ribbon is glued on top of the cell instead of soldering on specific points, reducing the silver content and enhancing module efficiency. The bifacial module with up to 80% bifaciality and dimension of 2,465 x 1,134 x 30 mm offers suitability in utility-scale applications, added the company. The company  offers a product warranty of 12 years and a 30-year performance warranty on this latest busbarless model.

On the other hand, the SANY SYMN 156RO3TBD series bifacial model configured in 156 pieces of 210R size n-TOPCon half-cell matrix in SMBB interconnection method boasts a power output of 750 W and an efficiency of 23%, says the company. SANY noted that this module, measuring 2,384 x 1,303 x 30 mm in size, has key features like high bifaciality of up to 80% and improved generation in low-irradiation conditions that contribute 10% to 30% generation gain. The module’s low-temperature coefficient of -0.29%/℃ also enhances the power generation in high-temperature conditions. The model’s 30-year linear performance warranty shows higher reliability against potential-induced degradation (PID) and light-induced degradation (LID). According to the company, the SMBB model is likely to be commercially available by Q3 2024.
