  • Sharp Energy Solutions Europe has expanded its half-cut cell portfolio with the addition of 2 new products
  • Both 410W and 400W panels are based on 182mm, use 108 half-cells and offer efficiency of 20.5% and 21% respectively
  • The company targets residential, small-scale commercial and industrial rooftop solar segments with these modules

Targeting residential, small-scale commercial and industrial rooftop solar installations, Sharp Energy Solutions Europe has launched 2 new PERC solar PV panels with 410W and 400W output based on 182mm wafer sized cells, and expanded its existing half-cut cells portfolio.

The NU-JC410 solar panel has an anodized silver frame and white backsheet with an efficiency of 21%, while the NU-JC400B module with 400W power rating is an all-black variant with a black frame and black backsheet and boasts of an efficiency of 20.5%.

For both the products with 108 half-cells, Sharp has used 10 busbar configuration with round ribbons which it claims makes them less sensitive to microcracks and help improve power gain. The products have a dimension of 1722 mm x 1134 mm and weigh 21.8 kg each. The manufacturer claims a temperature coefficient of -0.341% per °C.

The panels also come with original MC4 connector ensuring their compatibility with most mainstream optimizers, inverters and mounting systems. These also have 3 junction boxes with each containing a bypass diode. Sharp also offers 15-year product guarantee and 25-year performance guarantee on the new panels with a minimum of 85% in the 25th year.

The President of Sharp Energy Solutions Europe, Peter Thiele said, “We want to enable our customers to achieve the lowest possible levelized cost of energy and have therefore created panels for efficient energy generation, high reliability and low Balance of system & CapEx costs.”

In March 2021, the Japanese company launched a 445W, 144 half-cell module based on M6 wafer size for ground mounted and commercial rooftop installations (see Sharp Launches New 445W Solar PV Module).
