Key Takeaways
  • Solarport has launched its PowerPark PRO Series, a commercial solar carport range for the UK and Ireland

  • The lineup includes 4 models designed for space-constrained, complex, east/west-facing, and south-facing car parks

  • The systems are designed to meet UK and EU parking requirements and BRE National Solar Centre spacing standards

Solarport, UK based solar mounting systems provider, has launched the PowerPark PRO Series, a new range of commercial solar carports aimed at turning parking areas into power-generating assets. The new product line marks the company’s expansion in solar infrastructure beyond its established ground-mount business.

The PowerPark PRO Series is built using steel and other premium materials, with a focus on structural strength, long service life, and low maintenance. The systems are intended to provide weather protection while also supporting on-site solar power generation for commercial and industrial users.

The new range has been designed to comply with UK and EU parking space requirements, including bays for disabled users and parent-and-child parking. Solarport also states that the structures follow the spacing guidance set out by the BRE National Solar Centre. The modular design allows the systems to be deployed across both small and large car park installations.

The lineup includes 4 variants. The M-Series, with a +10° tilt, is positioned for space-constrained sites where energy yield remains important. The R-Series, with a -10° tilt, is intended for more complex or restricted layouts. The G-Series uses a gullwing design for east/west-facing car parks. The D-Series is configured for south-facing sites to increase solar exposure.

According to Solarport, the product was developed based on customer input during the design process. Joe Lambert, Director of Sales & Engineering at Solarport, said the company focused on balancing cost, appearance, and ease of installation. He also described the new range as a natural extension of Solarport’s existing portfolio, which includes ground-mount systems and its recently launched installation subsidiary, SPS PowerBuild.

With the launch, Solarport is re-entering the solar carport segment with a more structured commercial offering. The company said the PowerPark PRO Series is now available across the UK and Ireland.
