Chinese inverter manufacturer Ginlong (Solis) Technologies showcased its FlexAIO all-in-one residential energy storage system (ESS) at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026. The company plans to open UK pre-orders on September 30, making the country FlexAIO’s first commercial market.
The ESS integrates a hybrid inverter, battery packs, an energy management system (EMS) and a battery management system (BMS) in one unit. It is offered in single-phase and 3-phase configurations. In either configuration, the battery cluster can use 6 kWh or 9 kWh battery packs, or a combination of both. This allows the storage capacity to be configured from 6 kWh to 54 kWh per cluster. Solis attributes this mixed-pack capability to the DC/DC optimizer integrated into each battery pack. Up to 6 clusters can connect in parallel, increasing total storage capacity to 324 kWh. The single-phase hybrid inverters are rated from 3 kW to 10 kW, while the 3-phase versions range from 5 kW to 20 kW, both supporting a DC/AC ratio of up to 200%, allowing the connected PV array to be sized at up to twice the rated AC output. The system switches to backup mode in less than 10 ms after a grid outage and can supply up to 10 kW of single-phase or 20 kW of 3-phase backup power. Its integrated backup port supports whole-home backup without a separate static transfer switch (STS). Storage capacity can be expanded to 324 kWh by connecting up to 6 clusters of 54 kWh each in parallel. Solis specifies a cycle life of at least 10,000 cycles under test conditions of 25 ± 2°C, 0.5C and 60% state of health. The operating temperature range is -30°C to 60°C.
Solis also displayed its IntelliHome and FlexHome residential systems and its EverCore commercial and industrial (C&I) ESS.
