South Korea based solar module manufacturer SDN has started rolling out what it touts as the world's most efficient floating solar module, with 600W power output and efficiency reaching a maximum of 21.46%.

The bifacial glass-glass module or SunDay 10+Wave is the 'only' such PV product in Korea for the floating PV segment, according to the manufacturer. Based on M10 182mm wafer sized cell, the module uses half-cut technology with 11 busbar arrangement.

It is available in 3 versions of 590W, 595W and 600W with maximum efficiency reaching 21.11%, 21.29% and 21.46%, respectively.

A single module weighs 35.9 kg with a 2.0mm tempered glass with AR coating on the front, and 2.0mm tempered glass with white coating on the rear. It has a size configuration of 2,465×1,134×35 mm³.

SDN is offering 12-year product and 30-year performance warranty for this module with 83.5% performance guarantee during the latter period.

These modules were in the making in April 2023 when SDN unveiled its 600W Sunday 10+ PERC module with up to 21.5% efficiency (see SDN Launches New Panel With 600 W Power Output).

SDN says it is now in negotiations with a large domestic EPC company to supply 400 MW of these modules annually. With local KS certification already in, the South Korean company will now apply for TUV certification to be able to ship these to countries in South America, Central Asia and Africa.
