Key Takeaways
  • Suntech introduced its Ultra T 3.0 quarter-cut module based on TOPCon technology

  • The module features cells with over 27.5% efficiency and bifaciality of up to 90%

  • The company also displayed application-specific anti-soiling and anti-glare modules for different market segments

Suntech, a global solar cell and module manufacturer, showcased several additions to its n-type photovoltaic module portfolio at SNEC PV+ 2026. According to the company, these products are designed for utility-scale, commercial, and residential applications. Together with its industry partner HY SOLAR, the company also presented an integrated energy storage portfolio.

The company showcased its latest quarter-cut module, the Ultra T 3.0, built on TOPCon cells reaching an efficiency of 27.5%. The module adopts a quarter-cut cell layout with high-density negative-gap encapsulation technology and has a reported bifaciality of up to 90%. Suntech specifies a first-year degradation of no ≤ 1% and an annual linear degradation as low as 0.35%. The dual-glass module is promoted for environments with high temperatures, humidity, salt mist, and dust exposure.

For utility-scale projects, Suntech showcased the STP650S-C78/Nsh+ from its Ultra T 1.0 series. The n-type TOPCon module is built with 156 half-cells and achieves a maximum efficiency of 23.3% with a rated power output of 650 W. It measures 2,465 × 1,134 × 30 mm, weighs 34.7 kg, and uses 2.0 mm front and rear glass. The module has a bifaciality factor of 80 ± 5%. Suntech highlighted the product’s anti-soiling design, which incorporates an optimized frame structure and surface treatment that helps to reduce dust accumulation and maintenance requirements.

For residential rooftops, commercial buildings, and BIPV applications, the company presented a 470 W full-black anti-glare module. The monofacial double-glass product is based on n-type TOPCon half-cells and delivers 470 W of power with a maximum module efficiency of 23.5%. It features a 96-cell configuration and measures 1,762 × 1,134 × 30 mm.

Both module series are backed by a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty.

In addition to solar modules, Suntech showcased its SunStorage portfolio for residential and commercial applications. The residential lineup covers systems from 4 kW to 20 kW and supports stackable high-voltage battery configurations. For the commercial sector, the company presented a 125 kW/261 kWh storage cabinet designed for peak shaving, backup power, and energy management. Suntech also displayed a 125 kW DC-coupled hybrid inverter for integrating photovoltaic generation with battery storage.
