As the solar and energy storage sectors increasingly prioritize technology innovation, procurement efficiency, and resilient supply chains, TaiyangNews convened industry stakeholders at its inaugural Solar & Storage Procurement Briefing China (SSPB.C 2026) in Shanghai on June 2, 2026. The event provided an early preview of solar manufacturing and battery storage technologies ahead of SNEC 2026.

The 1st edition of SSPB.C 2026 at the Global New Energy Empowerment Center in Shanghai, was held a day ahead of SNEC 2026 to offer international buyers a curated overview of technologies expected to be showcased during SNEC.

An invite-only event, it brought together global procurement leaders, EPCs, developers, investors, and technology suppliers for a focused review of emerging developments in solar manufacturing and battery energy storage. 

The conference, co-organized with SNEC, featured executive fireside chats and a series of innovation presentations covering solar production equipment, manufacturing materials, battery technologies, energy storage systems, and inverter solutions.

During the solar-focused sessions, speakers presented developments across the spectrum in TOPCon manufacturing including metallization, laser processing, passivation technologies, connectors, cables, and advanced module designs.Several companies highlighted efforts to improve production efficiency, reduce material consumption especially silver, and support the next generation of high-efficiency solar cells.

In the solar manufacturing segment, Dr. Kamel Ounadjela, General Manager – International Business Unit at Laplace, presented developments in advanced manufacturing equipment and integrated production solutions supporting TOPCon, HIBC, and tandem solar technologies.
