Key Takeaways
  • Huasun led the highest power tier for most of 2025, raising the benchmark to 730 W in June and holding the top position until November, before GCL SI and Risen joined the 730 W tier in December

  • The second-highest power level was represented by Tongwei Solar and Trinasolar, at 715 W, with a brief increase to 720 W in October 2025 by Trinasolar

  • The third power tier stayed at 710 W, led by Grand Sunergy for most of the period, with Jetion Solar joining it in mid-2025

Alongside efficiency, module power is a key performance and sales metric in the TOP SOLAR MODULES listing. Tracking power development at the product level highlights how leading manufacturers have pushed output limits and how competition has evolved at the very top end of commercially available modules. In our previous article, we examined the evolution of the top 3 power ratings. This section builds on that analysis by focusing on the companies leading these top power ranks over the 2024-2025 period (see Top 3 Power Ratings In TOP SOLAR MODULES)

Huasun has held the top power spot throughout the period, and exclusively for a significant portion. During H2 2025, the highest rated power in the TOP SOLAR MODULES listing remained unchanged at 730 W. After reaching this level in June 2025, the top power rating held steady from July till December. Huasun exclusively held this top position from June to November 2025. In December 2025, GCL SI and Risen joined the 730 W tier, expanding representation at the highest power level.

The top power slot saw a major upgrade nearing the tail end of H1 2025. In June, Huasun raised the benchmark for the highest power output in the TOP SOLAR MODULES list by commercializing a 730 W HJT module, up from its previous 720 W product launched in August 2024. The 730 W figure is also the highest-rated power seen so far in the listing. In 2024, Huasun and Tongwei Solar shared the top power spot at 715 W at the beginning of the year. This changed in August when Huasun introduced its 720 W HJT module, becoming the sole leader.

The second-highest power rating largely remained at 715 W in H2 2025, though it did not remain completely unchanged. It was jointly represented by Trinasolar’s TOPCon module and Tongwei’s HJT product. However, in October 2025, this briefly increased to 720 W, driven by Trinasolar’s TOPCon module, but this was not sustained. In November, the second rank reverted to 715 W, held solely by Tongwei Solar, and remained unchanged till December. As for the changes in H1 2025, while the absolute power level was unchanged at 715 W, the representation changed slightly. From the beginning of the year until April, Tongwei’s HJT module represented this power class alone, but Trinasolar commercialized a TOPCon module with the same 715 W power rating in May, joining Tongwei.

In the first half of 2024, the second-highest power rating was 700 W, held by Risen and Trinasolar. In August, this level increased to 715 W following Tongwei Solar’s upgrade of its HJT module, which remained at the top through the end of the year.

As for the 3rd rank, it remained largely unchanged at 710 W during H2 2024, represented by Jetion Solar and Grand Sunergy. The positions remained unchanged until October 2025. The 2nd and 3rd ranks saw a brief spike to 715 W in October 2025, a level represented by Tongwei, while pushing Jetion and Grand Sunergy to 4th. The spike was led by Trinasolar, which jointly held the 2nd rank with Tongwei at 715 W, raising its product’s power rating to 720 W, and pushing Tongwei’s 715 W product to 3rd as a consequence. With Trinasolar dropping to 640 W in November 2025, the 2nd rank settled back to the earlier 715 W level, with the 3rd rank reverting to 710 W. The 3rd-best power rating also remained at 710 W throughout H1 2025; however, there was a slight change in representation. At the beginning, it was held by Grand Sunergy all by itself, but Jetion entered the listing in June 2025 with its HJT module rated at 710 W, joining Grand Sunergy in this power tier.

In 2024, the 3rd place in power was initially represented by Akcome with a 695 W module till July. But as Huasun increased the module power to 720 W, it claimed the 1st rank all to itself, pushing Tongwei’s 715 W module to 2nd. Following this, the prior occupants of 2nd place, Risen and Trinasolar, each with 700 W modules, were forced into 3rd place. The next change occurred in October, when Grand Sunergy entered the listing with a 710 W HJT module, becoming the sole occupant of the 3rd rank and maintaining that position through the end of 2024.
