The Leipzig, Germany-based solar metrology solution provider, Wavelabs will showcase its latest LED-based sun-simulator – SINUS-3000 PRO series, at the upcoming Intersolar Europe 2024.

The new SINUS-3000 PRO solar simulator with integrated end-of-line testing features, offers a multipurpose solar module characterization system compatible with either mass-scale production or research & development applications. Its LED flash time of up to 1,000 ms coupled with integrated continuous safety testing feature according to IEC/UL 61730 under a total cycle time of 20 seconds yields high throughput in mass module production, explains Wavelabs. The latest sun-simulator model based on its patented RapidWAVE® technology promises accurate characterization of high-efficiency cell structures like HJT and TOPCon.

Wavelabs, last year's Intersolar awardee, has been selected as a finalist for the "The smarter E AWARD 2024" in the "Photovoltaics" category for the application of the SINUS-3000 PRO series. This year's smarter E AWARD ceremony is scheduled to be held at the ICM – International Congress Center Messe München on June 18, 2024, at 6:15 p.m. The visitors can experience Wavelabs' launch of a brand new LED solar simulator optimized for cells and mini-modules with thin-film and perovskite technology in addition to SINUS-3000 PRO at booth no. A2.531 from June 19 to 21, 2024.

Product engineer for SINUS-3000 PRO, Gerrit Laube says, "We are delighted to have been nominated and would like to thank the jury for recognizing our work and development efforts." He further added, "The SINUS-3000 PRO combines different characterization options in one system that would normally require several individual tools. The modular design allows the creation of various settings tailored to the specific needs of any customer, from laboratory to manufacturing. The range spans from stand-alone EL lab tools with manual module loading to fully fitted, automated all-in-one manufacturing tools that incorporate all the end-of-line tests needed in modern production."
