Chinese solar cell manufacturer YINGFA Ruineng showcased its TOPCon and back-contact (BC) solar cell technologies at Renewable Energy India Expo (REI) 2026 in India. The company presented its latest cell technologies for module manufacturers, focusing on higher conversion efficiencies and flexibility in module design.
YINGFA's TOPCon solar cells, marketed as TOPCon 3.0, achieve a reported cell conversion efficiency of 27.3%. The cells are available in full-cell, half-cut, third-cut, and quarter-cut formats, allowing module manufacturers to choose cell sizes and configurations that match their module designs and production requirements.
The company also presented its BC solar cells, which offer efficiencies of up to 28.4%. These BC cells feature a front surface without metal gridlines and an all-black appearance. According to YINGFA, the design is intended for modules where both efficiency and appearance are important. Both efficiency figures refer to individual solar cells, not finished modules, says the company.
YINGFA operates four manufacturing bases in China and Indonesia, including PT. Bintan Cellular Indonesia (BCI). According to the company’s website, it has an annual production capacity of 45.5 GW for TOPCon cells and 6 GW for BC cells. YINGFA also has a local team in India providing sales, technical, and after-sales support to module manufacturers.
