Rural Power Company Of Bangladesh Wants Consultants For 100 MW PV

The Rural Power Company of Bangladesh has launched a tender seeking to hire consultancy services for the construction of a 100 MW solar power plant in Jamalpur district’s Madarganj.

Selected consultant will be required to conduct a review of feasibility study for the project completed by EQMS Consulting Limited, and prepare drawing, design specifications, bill of quantities (BoQ) of land development, and the like.

Preparation of EPC tender documents for the 100 MW project, as well as EPC documents for 132 kV double circuit transmission line from the project to Ghatial grid substation of Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB), is also part of the job description, according to the expression of interest (EOI) call.

Launched on October 10, 2021, last date to submit EOI documents is October 24, 2021, as per the announcement on Bangladesh government’s Central Procurement Technical Unit website.   

This 100 MW solar power plant is to be funded with a line of credit from India’s Exim Bank, and will come up on non-agricultural land on a river island of Jamuna river (see Bangladesh Planning 100 MW Solar Power Plant In Jamalpur).
