State owned lignite mining and power generation company NLC India Limited is looking for solar power companies to set up a 100 MW AC interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected PV project in the country.
Broad scope of work includes securing approval for connectivity and long term access (LTA), procurement of land/lease of government or public sector undertaking (PSU) land, design, commissioning and operation and maintenance (O&M) for 3 years, anywhere in India.
Commercial operations should begin within 15 months from the date of letter of award (LOA).

Operating under the Ministry of Coal, NLC's total power generation capacity stands at 6.06 GW, comprising 3.64 GW of lignite, 1 GW coal, 1.32 GW solar and 51 MW wind energy. As it diversifies into renewables like solar and wind, for solar its plan is to expand the power generation capacity to 2.65 GW out of 14.97 GW overall capacity.
