  • An additional 800 MW capacity is also available under greenshoe option for this project in Gujarat
  • NLC India is seeking bidders for 1.4 GW solar and wind power projects in Tamil Nadu to be hired as QCA

The Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) is inviting bids for grid connected solar PV projects of up to 800 MW capacity, with a greenshoe option of an additional 800 MW to be set up at Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat under phase XX, while NLC India Limited is on the lookout for a qualified coordinating agency (QCA) for 1.4 GW solar and wind power projects in Tamil Nadu.

Broad scope of work involves setting up the project on build-own-operate (BOO) basis for the Khavda Solar Park for which Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd (GSECL) is a solar power park developer (SPPD).

A total of 16 plots are earmarked for allotment under the tender with each being enough for 100 MW capacity. Minimum capacity to bid for is 100 MW, and more can be bid in multiples of 100 MW only. Successful bidders will be allowed to select plots out of the earmarked 16 plots basis and also for greenshoe capacity based on their rank.

GUVNL says the tender is aimed at fulfilling the renewable energy purchase obligation (RPPO) and to meet future requirements of discoms. Winners will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with GUVNL for 25 years.

For this tender launched on May 20, 2023, GUVNL will be accepting bids till June 15, 2023 for online and till June 17, 2023 for offline submissions.

The NLC India tender invites bids from eligible bidders for a 24-month contract to provide forecasting, scheduling and deviation settlement mechanism services for wind and solar projects across Tamil Nadu.

NLC India launched the tender on May 16, 2023 and will accept bids till June 6, 2023. Details are available on its website.
