Botswana’s national utility Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) is seeking proposals for the development of 7 solar PV power projects in the country, but doesn’t specify the individual capacity or the location of these planned facilities.

The broad scope of work covers development, financing, construction as well as operation and maintenance (O&M) of these solar power projects. Tender is open only to 100% citizen owned companies operating in the country.

BPC said it will be accepting proposals for these solar power facilities till March 31, 2023, as per details of the call available on its website.

Back in January 2022, BPC had issued a call soliciting proposals for 6 solar PV projects without specifying any other details even back then (see Botswana Announces Solar PV Tender).
