EPC Tender For 88 MW Floating Solar In India

  • It will be located in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh at Omkareshwar Reservoir
  • According to tender terms and conditions, the project needs to come online within 13 months duration

Indian hydropower utility NHDC Limited has launched a tender inviting bids from interested EPC companies for the development of 88 MW floating solar PV (FSPV) capacity at Omkareshwar Reservoir in Madhya Pradesh (MP) which is part of Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited’s (RUMSL) 600 MW floating solar project.

NHDC had won 100 MW capacity under phase I of the 600 MW auction for INR 3.22 per kWh along with Amp Energy and SJVN winning 100 MW each as well for INR 3.21 per kWh and INR 3.26 per kWh, back in May 2022 (see India PV News Snippets).

The project location is in Khandwa district of MP. NHDC wants the project to be designed, constructed and commissioned within 13 months and the selected EPC player to provide operation and maintenance (O&M) for 5 years post completion.

Launched on May 31, 2022, for this tender NHDC will accept online bid submissions till June 29, 2022 and offline till June 30, 2022. Tender details are available on federal government’s e-procurement website under tender ID: 2022_NHDC_691907_1.
