The Federal Network Agency of Germany or Bundesnetzagentur has launched the final rooftop solar tender for 2023 with 190.115 MW cumulative capacity, with bids capped at €0.1125 ($0.12)/kWh.

Winning projects can be set up on buildings and noise barriers. These stand to win state financial support.

The last date for bid submission is October 2, 2023, according to the agency’s announcement.

A total of 650 MW rooftop solar capacity is to be auctioned by the agency in 2023. This is the last and final round for this year.

All 3 rounds were originally scheduled to offer 217 MW each. While the February 2023 round offered 217 MW, the June 2023 tender was oversubscribed with bids coming in for a total volume of 342 MW as against 191 MW tendered (see Oversubscribed Rooftop PV Auction In Germany).

The agency awarded a total of 406.78 MW capacity during the February and July 2023 rounds in this category.
