State-owned power generation company Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) has launched a call for the supply of 625 MW DC/500 MW AC solar PV modules for a solar project it is developing in the Great Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.  

This project is part of a 2.375 GW Ultra Mega Solar/Wind/Hybrid Renewable Energy Park being established near village Khavda.  

GIPCL said the scope of this tender is to procure the solar modules and deliver the same to the balance of system (BoS) contractor for installation.  

Solar panels under the tender are required to use bifacial technology with a minimum power rating of 540 W and a maximum of 570 W.  

Module delivery needs to be attempted in 6 lots between March 2025 and October 2025, with the largest chunk of 250 MW DC to be delivered in September 2025.   

It specifies that the modules to be delivered must be listed in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) list.  

The tender for this requirement was launched on August 21, 2024. The last date to submit the offers is September 25, 2024, as per details available on GIPCL’s website
