The Central Electricity Board (CEB) of Mauritius has invited international consultants to offer their services for the implementation of a 15 MW AC solar PV farm.
It requires an independent engineer for the implementation of the project at Le Val. Both local and internationally qualified consultants can apply.
It launched the tender on April 17, 2024. Bids will be admitted till May 22, 2024, according to the tender announcement.
In October 2023, the CEB had been looking for consultants for a 30 MW floating PV project at the Tamarind Falls Reservoir (see Mauritius Exploring Floating Solar Power Plant).
At the end of 2023, Mauritius had a total installed renewable energy capacity of 270 MW, including 108 MW of solar PV. Under the country's energy roadmap, it seeks to have a 35% share of the renewable energy capacity in the national mix by 2025.
