Indian hydropower utility NHPC Limited is looking for solar EPC service providers to set up grid connected PV projects of up to 1.045 GW, in the form of 2 separate tenders.
One of the tenders is for EPC work for projects up to 1 GW capacity to come up with interstate transmission system (ISTS) connectivity under tranche-III of Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme Phase-II. Laying transmission line for power evacuation to the ISTS substation, as well as comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) for 10 years is also part of the job.
Interested bidders can quote for a minimum of 100 MW capacity at a single location under the tender, and in multiples of 25 MW.
Last date for bid submission for this tender with notice inviting tender (NIT) no. 2021_NHPC_647357_1 is November 9, 2021, according to the tender announcement.
The 12 GW CPSU Phase-II Scheme makes government entities offtaker of solar power generated from locally produced solar cells and modules, with discoms facilitating open access for this clean energy produced (see India Details 12 GW CPSU Scheme Phase-II).
The other tender is for EPC work of 45 MW grid connected solar power project in Mirzapur Jagir village in Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun district. Broad scope of work also involves laying down associated power evacuation equipment, along with providing comprehensive O&M services for 5 years.
