In Summary, JA Solar is a global leader in vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturing with in-house capability of producing wafers, cells and modules, primarily focusing
on supplying modules. This focus is complemented by its ventures in photovoltaic materials and equipment industries, along with PV+ application solutions. As of the end of 2023, JA Solar had reached a production capacity of 85 GW for silicon wafers, 85 GW for cells, and 95 GW for modules.
The company has several manufacturing facilities under construction across China, Vietnam, and the USA. It expects to reach 100+ GW of capacity for wafers, 100+ GW for cells, and 100+ GW for modules in 2024.
JA Solar has also established a division for photovoltaic materials, producing high- quality, stable auxiliary materials and equipment to support its supply chain continually. Additionally, it has expanded its operations into the downstream power station sector, engaging in business models such as Build-Own-Operate (BOO), Build- Operate-Transfer (BOT), and Energy Management Contract (EMC). While the company has been actively engaged in R&D on several cell technologies, its current mainstream offering is based on TOPCon. Having commenced mass production in Q3 2023, the company introduced the DeepBlue 4.0 Pro, the latest product series featuring the Bycium+ TOPCon cell technology.
