  • UPNEDA is seeking interested stakeholders for the implementation of 98 MW AC solar power capacity in Uttar Pradesh
  • It needs to be installed under component A of PM-KUSUM Scheme with minimum and maximum system capacity being 500 kW AC and 2 MW AC, respectively
  • Tariffs have been capped at INR 3.10 per kWh for a period of 25 years under the PPA

The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has launched a tender for the establishment of 98 MW AC decentralized solar power capacity under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evem Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) Scheme.

Tender terms require the ground mounted grid connected solar PV plants to be set up as 500 kW AC, 1 MW AC, 1.5 MW AC and 2 MW AC capacity, on barren, uncultivable or agricultural land, pasturelands and marshlands. These locations should be within a radius of 5 km from the selected discom’s substations.

Winners will enter a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 25 years with the discom for projects to be set up on build-own-operate (BOO) basis. Tariffs have been capped at INR 3.10 per kWh.

Launched on May 10, 2022, the last date of online bid submission is June 15, 2022. Tender details and the list of 22 substations with available capacity for connectivity are available on UPNEDA’s website.

UPNEDA is the nominated nodal agency for the implementation of 10 GW solar PV capacity under component A of PM-KUSUM Scheme (see MNRE Revises Solar Target Under PM-KUSUM Scheme).
