Noida, India-based Jakson Group, a leading energy, electrical EPC, and infrastructure company with a portfolio in PV module manufacturing, exhibited its latest module offerings at the REI Expo 2024. The company also promoted its capacity expansion plan for the next few years.
Vikas Arya, VP of product development & design at Jakson Solar, promoted the company's brand-new flagship TOPCon double-glass bifacial module during an exclusive interview with TaiyangNews at the company booth.
Flagship product
The company unveiled its latest Helia NXTR series bifacial dual-glass TOPCon module at the event. This module, featuring 132 pieces of G12R size TOPCon half-cells, boasts a power output of up to 630 W and an efficiency of up to 23.34%. This new bifacial series offers 5 different power classes between 610 W and 630 W. According to the company’s datasheet, the module has a bifaciality factor of up to 80% with a margin of error of ±5%. However, the bifaciality gain depends on various field conditions, including ground reflectance, tilt angle, and installation location. This module, measuring 2,382 x 1,133 x 35 mm and weighing 34.5 kg, is laminated with 2 mm thick solar glass on both the front and rear side and uses coextruded POE encapsulants. Upon request, the company says it can offer the module with 2 mm thick rear-side white grid-type solar glass. The module comes with a linear power warranty of up to 30 years.
Other products
In addition to the flagship product, Jakson Solar displayed its ALMM-enlisted and BIS-certified Helia NXT series TOPCon glass-to-transparent-backsheet PV module at the show. This module, equipped with 144 pieces of M10 size TOPCon half-cells, delivers a power output of up to 590 W and an efficiency of up to 22.86%. Measuring 2,278 x 1,133 x 35 mm and laminated with 3.2 mm thick front solar glass paired with a transparent backsheet, the module weighs 28 kg. The company offers a linear power warranty of up to 25 years on this module.
Installation & durability
Both the above-mentioned modules, bonded with an IP68-rated split junction box (3 junction boxes are connected in series) and 400 mm long positive (+) and negative (-) termination cable integrated with MC4 connectors, are suitable for portrait installation mode. The solar cable length is customizable upon request. These modules can withstand a snow load of up to 5,400 Pa and a wind load of up to 2,400 Pa. The company offers a product warranty of up to 12 years for both modules.
Capacity expansion
Boasting a current PV module annual production capacity of 1.2 GW in Greater Noida, India, the company plans to add another 700 MW, bringing the cumulative capacity to almost 2 GW. Furthermore, Jakson Solar is entering the cell manufacturing sector with plans to establish a 2.5 GW facility at an undisclosed location.
