Initial public offering (IPO) bound 27-year-old Indian PV module manufacturer, Gautam Solar, showcased its latest mono-PERC and n-TOPCon cell-based product portfolio and shared its capacity expansion plan through 2025 at REI Expo 2024.
During an interview with TaiyangNews, Ravi Kumar, Marketing Manager of Gautam Solar, highlighted the company's latest 590 W glass-glass TOPCon PV module among the featured products at the exhibition booth.
Products
The company expanded its G2X N-type TOPCon glass-glass series with the latest addition, the 590 W model, which sees a slight increase in power output of 5 W. This 1.5 kV system voltage-rated module, equipped with 144 pieces of M10 size TOPCon half-cells, features an efficiency of up to 22.84%. Having a dimension of 2,278 x 1,134 x 35 mm and laminated with 2 mm thick front and rear solar glass, the module weighs 33.5 kg. Gautam Solar also displayed the glass-to-backsheet version of this bifacial module series, also featuring the same power output of up to 590 W and an efficiency of up to 22.84%. This 2,278 x 1,134 x 35 mm size module, laminated with a 3.2 mm thick front glass and a transparent rear backsheet, weighs 27.2 kg.
Both modules, featuring a 35 mm thick anodized aluminum frame, can withstand a snow load of up to 5,400 Pa and a wind load of up to 2,400 Pa. The company has successfully enlisted these latest models under India’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) and has received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Gautam Solar is offering a linear power performance warranty of up to 30 years for these modules.
The company also promoted its ALMM-listed and BIS-certified p-PERC cell-technology-based monofacial modules with a glass to transparent backsheet at the show. Both modules, featuring 144 pieces of 91 x 182 mm size monocrystalline PERC cells, offer a power output of up to 550 W and up to 21.29% efficiency. Measuring 2,278 x 1,134 x 35 mm, the module, laminated with 3.2 mm thick front side anti-radiant coated (ARC) tempered glass and rear backsheet, weighs 27.1 kg. According to the company datasheet, the bifacial module features a transparent backsheet, while the monofacial module is equipped with a polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) based rear backsheet. The company offers up to 25 years of linear power output warranty for both modules.
All the above-mentioned modules are suitable for utility and commercial scale PV installations, says the company.
Capacity expansion
Boasting a current PV module production capacity of 1.8 GW per year in Haridwar, India, the company is poised to expand its cumulative production capacity to up to 5 GW by April 2025, including a greenfield 2 GW cell line in the state of Haryana, India.
