GREW, a fairly new company in India’s PV module manufacturing space, introduced its latest n-TOPCon cell technology-based PV modules at the recently concluded REI 2024 Expo in India.

Speaking to TaiyangNews, Sohil Barad, GM-Global Sales, provided a brief overview of the company’s expansion plan and latest product offerings at the show.

Having a PV module manufacturing capacity of 2.8 GW in Rajasthan, India, the company is poised to add another 3.6 GW in Jammu & Kashmir, taking the total capacity to 6.4 GW. The company also planned to have 2.8 GW vertically integrated cells, wafers, and ingot production capability in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir by March 2025.

The company highlighted the brand-new glass-to-glass (GTG) module built with 132 pieces of n-TOPCon half-cells. This bifacial module, featuring multi-busbar (MBB) cell technology, boasts a power output of up to 635 W and an efficiency of up to 23.51%. The module is expected to go for testing and certification by the end of November 2024 followed by commercial availability in March 2025, states GREW.

In addition, GREW exhibited its TOPCon glass-to-glass GTG72HM10XXX series model at the show. The ALMM enlisted module, featuring 144 pieces of M10-size half-cells, boasts a power output of up to 590 W and an efficiency of up to 22.85%. This model offers 6 different power classes between 565 W and 590 W, added GREW. Measuring 2,278 x 1,134 x 35 mm and laminated with 2 mm thick front and rear glass, the module weighs 33 kg. The module, bonded with an IP68-rated split junction box (3 junction boxes are connected in series) and 400 mm long positive (+) and negative (-) termination cable integrated with MC4 connectors, is suitable for portrait installation mode. Upon request, the solar cable length can be customizable, according to the company datasheet. The company has certified this module for a snow load of up to 5,400 Pa and wind load of up to 2,400 Pa, while the maximum hail resistance it can offer for a maximum 25 mm diameter hail falling at a velocity of up to 23 m/s. The product is offered with a warranty of up to 15 years.

GREW also showcased its latest 108 pieces of n-TOPCon half-cells-based glass-to-glass module. This module offers a power output of up to 440 W and an efficiency of up to 22.50%.
