Started in 2016, Saatvik Solar, an Indian PV module manufacturer with an annual production capacity of 3.8 GW, showcased its latest PV modules and a one-stop solar pump solution at the recently concluded REI Expo 2024. Headquartered in Gurgaon, India, the company has 3 production units in Ambala, Punjab, with an annual cumulative capacity of 3.8 GW.
Along with its existing capacity, Saatvik Solar is foraying into PV cell manufacturing with an upcoming 3 GW greenfield cell fabrication unit in Orissa, while it also plans to expand PV module-making capacity by an additional 4 GW by 2025, according to Prashant Mathur, CEO of Saatvik Solar.
The company highlighted 2 new flagship products at the event – the brand-new dual-glass G12R TOPCon-based PV module and a one-stop solar pump solution for India’s push for solarization of the agricultural space.
Flagship product
Saatvik Solar unveiled its latest glass-glass n-TOPCon cell-based module, featuring 132 pieces of G12R TOPCon half-cells, for Indian customers. This module can deliver a power output of up to 625 W and an efficiency of up to 23.12%. Available in 6 power classes between 600 W and 625 W, this module can deliver an open-circuit voltage (Voc) of up to 48.98 V and a short-circuit current of up to 16.10 A, says the company datasheet. Measuring 2,382 x 1,134 x 30 mm in dimensions and weighing 33.5 kg, this module is framed with silver colored 30 mm high aluminum profile and laminated with a 2 mm thick front and rear solar glass. This module, tested for withstanding a snow load of up to 5,400 Pa and wind load of up to 2,400 Pa, can sustain harsh environments such as deserts, farms, coastal regions, and areas with ammonia exposure, claims the company. Saatvik Solar is offering a product warranty of up to 12 years and a linear power performance warranty of up to 30 years for this certification-pending module series.
Furthermore, the company also introduced its one-stop solar pump solution including a pump and Saatvik Solar PV module for India’s farmers at the show.
