  • Array Technologies has secured an order for 4 GW worth of solar trackers in North America
  • It will supply Primoris Renewable Energy 2.5 GW DuraTrack HZ v3 single-axis solar trackers under the order to be deployed for more than 10 projects
  • The arrangement involves Primoris getting an option to purchase another 1.5 GW for other projects

US based solar tracker company Array Technologies, Inc. has landed itself a plum order for 4 GW worth of trackers from a local contractor, Primoris Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of Primoris Services Corporation. The latter plans to deploy these trackers for more than 10 projects across North America.

Under the order, Array will supply 2.5 GW of its DuraTrack HZ v3 single-axis solar trackers, with an option for Primoris to purchase an additional 1.5 GW for other projects. Array will start shipping the products from June 2021 onwards.

Primoris did not share details of the projects it plans to use these trackers for, but it is not the 1st association between the 2 companies.

"This agreement builds on the 2 GW that Primoris Renewable Energy has already purchased from Array and underscores the edge our system provides in installation efficiency over our competitors," said Array Technologies' Chief Commercial Officer Jeff Krantz. "Through innovations, including single-bolt module clamps and the toolless assembly of certain components, we are helping our EPC customers reduce their labor costs and complete record-breaking projects on time and under budget."

In late 2020, Array Technologies secured a large order with RP Construction Services for 1 GW capacity, preceded by a 1.4 GW tracker order from Lightsource bp (see Array Technologies Lands Another GW Level Order).
