GameChange Energy Technologies, parent of GameChange Solar and GameChange BOS, has acquired the eBOS division of Terrasmart
The acquired business includes a manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and brings more than 14 GW of deployed electrical BOS systems
GameChange says this addition strengthens its ability to offer integrated, end-to-end solutions as utility-scale solar projects become more complex
GameChange Energy Technologies, the parent of solar tracker company GameChange Solar and balance of system (BOS) supplier GameChange BOS, has expanded its electrical BOS (eBOS) capabilities through the acquisition of a Terrasmart business division.
A subsidiary of Gibraltar Industries, Terrasmart’s eBOS division comes to the GameChange fold with its US manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, along with more than 14 GW deployed.
GameChange says the acquired eBOS business provides ready-made electrical systems that connect and control the power flow between solar panels, inverters, and other equipment in a solar project. The eBOS acquisition will complement the group’s broader platform of trackers, racking, transformer and grid equipment, it explained.
“The acquisition of the eBOS product line, including its highly experienced team, builds on our long-term strategy to deliver reliable end-to-end solutions for EPCs, developers, and asset owners operating at scale,” stated GameChange Energy CEO Phillip Vyhanek.
GameChange Solar is already among the top 10 solar tracker suppliers in the world, according to Wood Mackenzie’s H1 2025 data (see Nextpower Leads Global PV Tracker Rankings In H1 2025).
The US company says this acquisition reflects changes in the utility-scale solar market, where projects are becoming more complex and grid connection timelines are longer. Developers need integrated electrical solutions that reduce risk and speed up project completion. This eBOS acquisition will enable GameChange to provide a more complete, end-to-end solution to the market.
