Soltec Bags 234 MW Solar Tracker Order From Statkraft

Spain headquartered Soltec Power Holdings has secured a large contract for its SF& bifacial solar trackers from Statkraft that plans to deploy the same for its 4 PV projects in Spain, representing a combined capacity of 234 MW.

Statkraft is building the 4 projects in San José del Valle -Arenosas, el Yarte, la Guita- and in Malabrigo, in Jerez de la Frontera—all located in the Spanish province of Cadiz. Together, on completion and commissioning scheduled for 2021, Statkraft expects the projects to generate a cumulative of 500 GWh annually. This capacity is expected to cost an investment of €200 million, Statkraft announced in May 2021 (see Statkraft Going Ahead With 234 MW Solar In Spain).

For Soltec, this contract strengthens its existing backlog which at the end of Q1/2021 reached €306 million, and the pipeline valued at €2.67 billion. It claims to have supplied trackers for 8.4 GW worth of solar projects till the end of 2020.

Recently, Soltec entered an agreement for solar tracker supply with Endesa for 142 MW capacity in Spain, it informed.
