[et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text"]US solar tracker manufacturer GameChange Solar (GCS) is expanding its geographic footprint to the upcoming and lucrative solar market of the Middle East in a strategic partnership with China's Jiangsu Zhenjiang New Energy Equipment Co Ltd (JZNEE).
According to GCS, JZNEE will establish a state-of-the-art local manufacturing facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia to produce up to 3 GW, expandable to 5 GW, of solar tracker components for GCS' Genius Tracker™.
A local fab will enable the duo to meet local content requirements in the region, said GCS, while ensuring timely delivery of its trackers to customers. The factory is targeted to be commissioned by June 2024.
A listed company from China, JZNEE operates in the areas of manufacturing, logistics, and installation of PV mounting and tracker systems.
GCS says it will provide non-steel components such as actuators, node controllers, and drive systems for its Saudi Arabia produced solar trackers as the exclusive local partner. The American manufacturer will also ensure after-sales support, commissioning, software and service for projects using its Genius trackers across the Middle East.
"Our partnership with JZNEE and expansion into the Middle East underscores our commitment to growing our global renewable energy presence. We are excited to provide our Middle East customers and EPC partners with locally manufactured, built, and serviced solar tracker solutions," said GCS President, International, Vikas Bansal.
The news follows GCS' recent announcements of its US and global manufacturing expansions. In January 2024, the company said it will exclusively produce Genuis trackers at the new 2.5 GW Brazil fab. In the following month, it announced an expansion to 35 GW annual US domestic capacity for key components (see US Tracker Maker Further Expanding Manufacturing Capacity). [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column]
