Versolsolar upgrades windstream deflector bracket system to withstand typhoon level 12; Jinchen secures 2.5 GW order from India's Waaree; Shunhai's BIPV robotic cleaning system gets WRCA certification; Maxwell in Forbes China's 2022 Innovative Enterprises List.

Versolsolar's upgraded Windstream deflector: PV mounting, and tracking system supplier Versolsolar has released its upgraded version of windstream deflector bracket system that's compatible with large sized high-power modules. It can resist typhoon level 12 and force distribution is more reasonable. Versolsolar claims the overall structure is more stable while the system design is more flexible. The main structure of the bracket has only a single bolt that's quick and easy to install. It touts a 'unique rib support structure that improves structural strength and can more effectively resist extreme wind and snow loads. Versolsolar added, "No drilling, no planting reinforcement fixed bracket design, perfect protection of the original roof. The use of load-bearing blocks is small, which is suitable for flat roofs with small loads or limited installation methods." In July 2022, Verso solar launched its new generation BIPV system (see China PV News Snippets).

More Jinchen production equipment for Waaree: Solar PV module production equipment supplier Jinchen Solar has secured another order from India's Waaree Energies, this time for a 2.5 GW high efficiency module line. This order comes on top of a 3 GW automated line contract announced by the duo in January 2021 (see Waaree Places Order For 3 GW Module Production Line). After the signing of the 2.5 GW project, Jinchen will provide Waaree with a total of 10 GW of high efficiency PV module automated production lines. It claims to have already delivered and installed a production line of 6 GW. Remaining 4 GW will be delivered in 2022.

WRCA recognition for BIPV robotic cleaning: The World Record Certification Agency (WRCA) has awarded a 'world record certification' to Hangzhou Shunhai Photovoltaic Technology's research and development (R&D) team for the 'World's Longest BIPV Distributed Photovoltaic Power Plant Intelligent Cleaning Robot'. Shunhai says cleaning of BIPV modules is a difficult task manually since it may need workers to stand on the surfaces with modules which can damage the panels and is also risky to human lives. At the same time, BIPV modules are sometimes set up in industrial settings, exposing the modules to various sources of pollution as heavy metals, dyes, cement, dust, etc. The company claims its intelligent cleaning robot, designed and developed by the company, has a total cleaning width of more than 20 meters. It fills the gap of BIPV cleaning robots at home and abroad.

Maxwell in Forbes top 50 innovative enterprises list: Forbes China's 2022 Top 50 Innovative Enterprises list includes Maxwell Technologies, for the 2nd consecutive year. Solar cell production equipment supplier Maxwell says it invested RMB 330 million on R&D activities in 2021, accounting for 10.7% of its operating income. It also acquired 59 patents and 21 software copyrights. The company says its HJT 2.0 Heterojunction cell PECVD mass production equipment was awarded a technical equipment certification by the National Energy Administration (NEA) last year. According to Maxwell, in the 2022 Forbes China list, at least 18 companies represent new energy related fields, JinkoSolar being one of them (see China PV News Snippets).
