Phase II of Yunnan Tongwei Silicon Facility Agreement Inked & More From Huadong Engineering, Huasun, Golden Solar

Agreement for Yunnan Tongwei silicon facility Phase II signed; Huadong Engineering and Huasun Energy partner for 10 GW PV modules; Golden Solar subsidiary to supply cells and modules to First Holding.

Agreement for Phase II of Yunnan Tongwei silicon facility inked: Integrated solar PV manufacturer from China, Tongwei said that the signing ceremony for its Phase 2 of Yunnan Tongwei 200,000 ton high-purity crystalline silicon facility was held in Baoshan.  Phase 1 of 50,000 tons was completed and put into production in 2021 (see China PV News Snippets). Since then, it has continued to operate safely and efficiently, according to Tongwei.

Huadong Engineering to buy 10 GW PV modules from Huasun: Chinese HJT cell and module manufacturer Huasun Energy announced that it has signed a photovoltaic modules procurement deal with Huadong Engineering Corporation. As per the agreement, Huadong Engineering will purchase 10 GW of heterojunction solar modules from Huasun during the period 2022 to 2025. Huadong Engineering will use these modules for its photovoltaic power stations. Golden Solar to provide cells and modules to First Holding: Material science company Golden Solar said in an announcement that its wholly-owned subsidiary has got into an agreement with Hong Kong based company, First Holding. As per the agreement, Golden Solar will be the long-term supply partner to First Holding and will provide about 300 MW of solar cells and modules annually, and as per First Holding's future needs. The initial agreement is for one year, and unless it is terminated, it will automatically be renewed for one more year.
