Tang Kun about the company's TOPCon investments and its future plans (see Costs and Power Performance Speak For TOPCon)

LONGi to invest RMB 3 billion in Wuhu monocrystalline module facility: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi announced that it will be investing about RMB 3 billion ($0.43 billion) in the construction of the second phase of 15 GW single crystal module facility in Wuhu. The company added that the commissioning of the facility shall not exceed six months from the date the workshops and ancillary facilities have confirmed; and within 24 months of commissioning, the facility will reach production. Recently, LONGi and Wanhua Chemical had joined hands (see China PV News Snippets). On another note, LONGi will be speaking at TaiyangNews Reliable PV Module Design Conference  on Dec. 14, 2022 (see TaiyangNews Virtual Conference On Reliable PV Module Design – How To Make High-Quality Solar Modules)

Wanhua Chemical joins hands with China Energy and Trina Solar: Wanhua Chemical has partnered with China Energy, a key state-owned energy enterprise, and Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar, local media reports said. The three companies have teamed up to build a 1,260 MW offshore photovoltaic power generation project in Weifang City.

Construction begins for 2nd phase of Daqo New Energy polysilicon facility: Chinese polysilicon producer Daqo New Energy said that the second phase of its high-purity polysilicon facility with an annual output of 100,000 tons has completed the energy assessment and approval procedures. And it will soon be launched in the near future. The investment on this facility is expected to be RMB 9.1 billion ($1.3 billion). Once the facility is completed and put into operation by the end of 2023, Daqo's accumulative annual production capacity can reach 305,000 tons.

JinkoSolar's Tiger modules used in Datang Huayin's PV project: Module supplier JinkoSolar said via a WeChat communication that it has assisted Datang Huayin Hunan Loudi's 1 GW photovoltaic power generation project. The company has supplied its high-efficiency n-type TOPCon technology Tiger Neo modules and enabled Datang's project to achieve grid-connected power generation. The project is expected to produce 1.27 billion kWh of clean electricity annually. And during the 25-year operation period, the project can provide about 253.67 million kWh of electricity to the grid every year on average.
