Risen's Titan modules enter European market: Solar panel manufacturer Risen Energy Co., Ltd. announced that it has successfully delivered its Titan series 500 W modules for a roof project in Poland. This marks Titan modules' foray into the European market. Since its release in December 2019, the Titan series has attracted industry attention as it uses 210mm size silicon wafers, which enables the power to exceed 500 W in one swoop (see TaiyangNews 500W+ Conference: Risen Energy). The latest technology development of Risen is HJT technology- and it will be talking on "Why HJT is The NEXT Big Thing in Solar Cell Technology" at the TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on High Efficiency Solar Technologies on December 2 (see Agenda & Free Registration).

Tongwei announces product cell pricing for Dec: Releasing its December cell pricing,   Tongwei Solar said that the price for Polycrystalline Cells cut with Diamond Wire 157 is set at RMB 0.62/W ($0.094/W), while the 158.75mm  monocrystalline mono-/bi-facial PERC cells have been priced at RMB 0.88/W ($0.13/W), lower than the November prices of RMB 0.09/W ($.014/W). Its 166 monocrystalline mono-/bi-facial PERC cells stood at RMB 0.95/W ($.14/W), which is RMB 0.02/W ($.0030/W) lower than the price in November. The silicon to module maker also, for the first time, announced the price of mono-/bi-facial 210mm mono PERC cells, setting it at RMB 0.99/W ($0.15/W). Recently, Tongwei and Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar announced to jointly produce 40,000 tons polysilicon and other products for 210mm products (see Tongwei & Trina Solar Joint Venture For 210 Products).

Asian Silicon likely to be listed on Science &Technology Innovation Board: As per a report by news agency Zhitong Finance APP, high-purity polysilicon material supplier Asia Silicon's application for listing on the Science and Technology Innovation Board has been accepted. The company will now issue 88.541 million shares, with an intent of raising RMB 1.5 billion ($0.23 billion), which would be used for the first phase of a 60,000 ton/year high purity polysilicon project.

Clenergy transfers Australia's 115 MW PV project development rights: In an announcement, solar mounting equipment manufacturer Clenergy said that Clenergy Global Projects GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Clenergy International (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., intends to transfer its ownership related to the development and construction rights of the Australian Metz 115 MWac photovoltaic power station project to Spain's FRV Solar Holdings IB.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of solar energy company Fotowatio Renewable Ventures S.LU for an amount of 2.1 million AUD.

Sinopont partners with Daye City for solar encapsulation factory: The signing ceremony of the Sinopont Technology Photovoltaic Film Project, whose investment value is at RMB 800 million ($121.35 million), was held at the High-tech Zone, Daye City in Hubei Province. Sinopont Technology, a Chinese EVA encapsulants maker, will be doing R&D and production of encapsulation film for solar modules at the site. The entire construction will be spread across two phases. On completion, the annual production capacity is expected to reach 300 million m2 and result in annual sales of about RMB 3 billion ($460 million).
