Trina Solar wins Top Brand PV Awards 2023; Dongli Group to build 200,000-ton polysilicon facility; Sunman produces 520 W lightweight module; JinkoSolar and SC-SOLAR gets into a sales deal; Taoistic Solar to build cell and module facility in Qidong.

EUPD Research awards Trina Solar: Chinese solar module manufacturer announced that it has been recognized as Top Brand PV Awards 2023 in the category of modules by EUPD Research, a leading global market research firm. This award is for the exceptional customer satisfaction the company enjoys for its PV modules in Latin American countries, especially in Brazil, Chile and Mexico. Every year EUPD Research, which has been measuring and analyzing the perception of PV market intermediaries and end customers for about 20 years now, surveys thousands of installers in over 30 countries and regions. Dongli Group to invest in 200,000-ton polysilicon facility: An enterprise mainly engaged in the manufacturing of railways, ships, aerospace and other transportation equipment, Dongli Group, announced via WeChat that it will be constructing a 200,000-ton high-purity polysilicon facility in the Urad Front Banner Industrial Park, in Inner Mongolia. The investment is about RMB 17 billion ($2.45 billion) and will be constructed from December 2023 to December 2025 in two phases. Each phase will build a polysilicon production facility with an annual output of 100,000 tons.

Sunman Energy produces first 520 W lightweight module: Over WeChat, technology company Sunman Energy said that it has successfully produced its first 520 W module. In January 2022, Sunman Energy's 1 GW lightweight photovoltaic facility was put into operation in Jiangsu and houses the company's R&D center, standardized photovoltaic testing center, composite material production line, and lightweight module production line –spread across 260 mu. The production of this light -weight module is very significant for Sunman as it has opened doors to a new technology, the company added. JinkoSolar partners with SC-SOLAR for PV equipment order: Chinese equipment manufacturing enterprise J.S.Machine announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, SC-SOLAR, has signed a sales agreement with module supplier JinkoSolar. The transaction amount is about RMB 444 million (tax included) ($64 million) and includes items like string pendulum machine, stitch welding machine, automatic adhesive tape machine, automatic assembly line and laminating machine equipment. Meanwhile, JinkoSolar would also be taking part in TaiyangNews Global PV System Technology Trends H1/2023 Virtual Conference to be held from 27-28 June 2023. Taoistic Solar to build cell and module facility in Qidong: Technology company specializing in R&D, production, and sales of solar modules, Taoistic Solar said via WeChat that it will be building a high-efficiency monocrystalline cell and photovoltaic module facility in Qidong. This is a significant move from the view point of upgrading the new energy industry and forming an industrial chain in Qidong.
