Hoymiles to Present at TaiyangNews Virtual Conference

Residential and commercial solar are key pillars of the solar sector. In an era marked by geostrategic uncertainty, trade tensions, supply chain realignments, volatile energy prices, and shifting regulatory frameworks, energy resilience has become a central priority for households, businesses, and policymakers.

At the TaiyangNews Smarter Solar for Homes & Businesses Virtual Conference, Mark Guan, RESS Global Sales Director at Hoymiles, will present on the topic, ‘Redefining Home Energy Independence with Slimmer, Stronger, Faster HiOne’.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 09:30 to 13:00 CET. Registrations are free and can be done here.

LONGi’s first commercial deployment of its distributed energy storage business, following the acquisition of Suzhou PotisEdge, now renamed LONGi PotisEdge, covers 40 units with a total capacity of 10 MWh.

LONGi Secures 1st Distributed Energy Storage Cabinet Order

Leading vertically integrated PV manufacturer LONGi has signed its first supply contract for distributed energy storage cabinets. LONGi’s first commercial deployment of its distributed energy storage business, following the acquisition of Suzhou PotisEdge, now renamed LONGi PotisEdge, covers 40 units with a total capacity of 10 MWh (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

The company said the new business integrates back-contact (BC) cell technology with energy storage systems, including BMS, PCS, and EMS, and extends to a broader system covering hardware, software, safety, and services.

Maxwell Signs RMB 3.5 Billion Perovskite Tandem Cell Equipment Project

Solar equipment maker Maxwell has signed a RMB 5.00 billion investment cooperation agreement with the Wujiang District Government in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, covering perovskite tandem cell equipment and semiconductor equipment projects.

The perovskite tandem cell equipment project will receive RMB 3.50 billion and will focus on R&D, large-scale production, and industrial application of complete equipment sets for tandem cell manufacturing.

The remaining RMB 1.50 billion will be used for semiconductor equipment R&D and manufacturing, implemented by Maxwell subsidiary Chenwei Equipment Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.

Recently, Maxwell reported achieving a certified conversion efficiency of 32.5% with its perovskite-silicon HJT tandem cell (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

A solar-to-hydrogen project jointly developed by China Three Gorges Corporation and Inner Mongolia Manshi Group has completed its first hydrogen loading into a tube trailer.

China’s 1st 10,000-Ton PV-to-Hydrogen Project Completes Initial Hydrogen Loading

A solar-to-hydrogen project jointly developed by China Three Gorges Corporation and Inner Mongolia Manshi Group has completed its first hydrogen loading into a tube trailer.

The project involves a total investment of RMB 2.35 billion and includes a 400 MW AC solar plant built in a coal subsidence backfill area in Narisong Town, Jungar Banner, Inner Mongolia, which is already fully grid-connected. The hydrogen facility has a production capacity of 15,000 Nm³/h and a daily output of 10,000 Nm³.

It is said to be China’s first 10,000-ton-class PV-to-hydrogen project and the first domestic project to achieve integrated solar-hydrogen transport over a 60 km distance.

Shuangliang Eco-Energy Faces RMB 13 Million Fine Over SpaceX Order Disclosure

Shuangliang Eco-Energy and its controlling shareholder, Shuangliang Group, have received an advance notice of administrative penalty from the Jiangsu branch of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) over misleading information disclosure related to a SpaceX order.

A February article on the company’s official WeChat account claimed that it had secured an order for 12 high-efficiency heat exchangers for SpaceX’s Starship launch base expansion. The company did not disclose that the order accounted for only 0.11% of its 2024 revenue and that it was a non-exclusive indirect supplier (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

The Jiangsu Regulatory Bureau determined the omissions constituted misleading disclosure and proposed fines totaling RMB 13 million.

DKEM Revenue Rises in 2025 While Profit Declines

PV paste manufacturer DKEM reported FY2025 operating revenue of RMB 18.05 billion, up 17.56% year-on-year (YoY), while adjusted net profit fell 62.78% to RMB 163.44 million.

The company sold 1,829.16 MT of PV conductive paste during the year, down 10.23% YoY. Sales of n-type TOPCon conductive paste reached 1,750.93 MT, accounting for 95.72% of total PV paste shipments.

DKEM said it used silver futures hedging and silver leasing to manage raw material price volatility and reduce procurement costs.
