The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has approved Sineng Electric’s application for a targeted share issuance. Under the plan, the company aims to raise up to RMB 1.65 billion, which will be allocated to a 25 GW string inverter industrialization project, a 15 GW energy-storage power conversion system (PCS) manufacturing facility, and working capital.
Upon completion, these facilities will expand Sineng’s annual manufacturing capacity for distributed small- and medium-power PV inverters by 15 GW, high-power string inverters by 10 GW, and PCS units by 15 GW, significantly enhancing its presence in both solar and energy-storage equipment segments.
Last month, Sineng Electric reported a 20.74% YoY increase in revenues for 9M 2025, while its net profits fell 25.19% (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
LONGi subsidiary Horqin Right Middle Banner Solar-Storage Intelligent Energy Co., Ltd. has received official project filing approval from the local government for a standalone energy-storage demonstration project. The project involves a total investment of RMB 1.00 billion and will be located in Horqin Right Middle Banner, Hinggan League, Inner Mongolia.
The company plans to construct a 300 MW / 1,200 MWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) electrochemical energy-storage power station, with the project scheduled to start in June 2026 with a completion date of December 2026.
LONGi recently announced plans to acquire a controlling interest in energy storage system (ESS) manufacturer PotisEdge, signaling its strategic expansion into the energy storage manufacturing sector (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
Beijing is preparing to launch its first auction for renewable energy mechanism tariffs covering all new energy projects that will achieve full-grid connection between June 1, 2025, and December 31, 2026. According to the Municipal Development and Reform Commission announcement, the total auction volume is set at 1.2 billion kWh, spanning solar PV and wind projects. All project categories will be subject to a unified price cap of RMB 0.3598/kWh.
The auction adopts a marginal-clearing mechanism based on bid price. All bidders will be ranked from lowest to highest according to their declared tariff, and projects will be selected until the total auction volume is reached. The bid of the last project to be included will serve as the mechanism tariff for this auction round. The awarded tariff will remain effective for a period of 12 years.
